25 Sessions on Yourself
To document the sessions you do on yourself, you can use this Excel spreadsheet (or this Excel A4 version). If you can't open those files, you can print this pdf version and use it: 8.5 x 11 A4 version
The information requested for each session is:
- Session date
- Step #1
- Step #2
- Any comments you would like to include
You are also asked to mark whether you were working on a:
- Trauma
- Allergy
- Negative Belief
- Physical Condition
- Emotional Issue
And what your beginning and ending SUDS ratings were.
SUDS stands for a Subjective Unit of Distress. This is a very useful tool for judging how effective a session is. You rate the intensity of your feelings (distress, anger, upset, etc.) at the beginning of the session based on a scale of 0 – 10, with 0 being not intense at all, and 10 being extremely intense. At the end of a session, rate the intensity of your feelings again and make note of any change.

15 Sessions with a TAT Buddy
Your TAT Buddy needs to have taken a TAT Basics workshop with a certified TAT Trainer. We'd prefer that your buddy also be enrolled in the certification program (or be certified already) and that you do all 15 sessions with the same buddy.
When you work with your buddy, the two of you can use the following forms to keep your attention on being present during the session. The person guiding the session can use the Guide's form during the session. The other person can complete the Client form at the end of the session. Each time your Buddy is in the role of the TAT Professional, be sure to give her/him feedback based on the questions on the client form. Your buddy can do the same for you.
Here is an Excel spreadsheet (and an Excel A4 version) to document the sessions you do with your TAT Buddy. If you can't open those files, you can print this pdf version and use it: 8.5 x 11 A4 version
The information requested for each session is:
- Session date
- whether the session was done on you, your buddy, or you worked on a bundle together
- Step #1
- Step #2
- Any comments you would like to include
You are also asked to mark whether you were working on:
- Trauma
- Allergy
